Peace

Don't Askiversary
Political cartoonist Mark Fiore's take on the anniversary of Operation Iraqi Freedom

Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament  CND campaigns non-violently to rid the world of nuclear weapons and other weapons of mass destruction and to create genuine security for future generations.

Coalition for World Peace  The Coalition For World Peace exists because there is another way to respond to terrorism and other threats. War is not the solution. It is war and violence that have brought this planet to the brink of a dangerous abyss. We as citizens of the most powerful nation on earth, possesed of democratic rights and responsibilities, have a duty to prevent the escalation of violence and its inevitable results — more innocent lives lost, destruction of civil liberties that define us as a nation, and the unleashing of violent racism worldwide.

Code Pink: Women for Peace  CODEPINK is a women-initiated grassroots peace and social justice movement working to end the war in Iraq, stop new wars, and redirect our resources into healthcare, education and other life-affirming activities. CODEPINK rejects the Bush administration's fear-based politics that justify violence, and instead calls for policies based on compassion, kindness and a commitment to international law.

International A.N.S.W.E.R.  The A.N.S.W.E.R. Coalition formed on September 14, 2001. It is a coalition of hundreds of organizations and prominent individuals and scores of organizing centers in cities and towns across the country. Its national steering committee represents major national organizations that have campaigned against U.S. intervention in Latin America, the Caribbean, the Middle East and Asia, and organizations that have campaigned for civil rights and for social and economic justice for working and poor people inside the United States.

Not in Our Name  Organizing nationally to oppose the occupation of Iraq, our government's war on the world, police state restrictions, and detentions and roundups of immigrants.

Peace No War  We are collective of antiwar/peace and social and economic justice activists struggle for peace and justice across the World. We believe people's movements for peace and justice is a combination of community outreach and broad global mobilizing -- We agree: think globally, act locally.

PeaceRoots Alliance  We seek to create a peaceful, just and sustainable world for future generations by emphasizing our common humanity, promoting non-violence and working to remove the root causes of war.

United for Peace  United for Peace is an online resource and national campaign that brings together a broad range of organizations throughout the United States to help coordinate our work against a U.S. war on Iraq.

Witness for Peace  Witness for Peace (WFP) is a politically independent, nationwide grassroots organization of people committed to nonviolence and led by faith and conscience. WFP’s mission is to support peace, justice and sustainable economies in the Americas by changing U.S. policies and corporate practices which contribute to poverty and oppression in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Women in Black  The Women in Black stand in silent vigil to protest war, rape as a tool of war, ethnic cleansing and human rights abuses all over the world.
